Embarking on an extraordinary adventure through the captivating landscapes of the Panamanian rainforest, we eagerly share our exhilarating journey to Camaroncito EcoResort. In this series of videos, we unveil the remarkable highlights and challenges encountered while driving from Miguel de la Borda to our beachfront paradise.
Traversing muddy terrain for almost half a day, we eventually reached a clear stretch of road, accompanied by an intact bridge wide enough to cross effortlessly. As we drove through Cebrada Grande, a charming village nestled between Miguel de la Borda and Cocle del Norte, curious faces filled the windows, expressing both amazement and disbelief. Our presence as the first car to venture through these villages sparked intrigue and wonder.
Amidst our memorable drive, we couldn't resist a stop at the local beer shop, recognizable by its vibrant pink hue. Interestingly, we had visited this spot during a previous journey on horseback, savoring the convenience of drive-up service. Such experiences truly encapsulate the spirit of adventure.
Throughout our expedition, encounters with cows and horses added to the allure. Most would scatter in a near-stampede as we approached, but a select few stood their ground, observing us or even venturing closer. Perhaps these animals possess a sense of forward-thinking or simply showcase a fearless nature.
It took us a full two days to navigate the route from Miguel de la Borda to Camaroncito, accompanied by our beloved Jeep, affectionately named "La Cabrita" (The Little Goat). Our commitment to enhancing accessibility to Costa Abajo drives us to support our community in this vital endeavor.
