Video #1 - The Road to Camaroncito - That is a Ferry?
Crossing the Miguel de la Borda river on a "ferry" made of a wooden platform lashed to 55 gallon barrels and pushed/pulled by two river kayaks with outboard motors. It takes persistence and creativity to get to an off grid eco resort!
It took us 2 full days to drive our beloved Jeep "La Cabrita" (The Little Goat) from Miguel de la Borda to Camaroncito. In this series of videos we will share a few of the highlights of this incredible adventure.
Camaroncito EcoResort is committed to helping our community move forward with this critical project to bring accessibility to Costa Abajo. We started with a preliminary road cut using a bull dozer and volunteers with chainsaws and shovels in early 2021. A second cut was done in 2022.
